Winters in North India are almost here, so the holiday is about to be here. I was thinking about why not share a list of simple winter treks in Uttarakhand and Himachal, where you can walk in winter to enjoy the snow as well as solitude in the middle of nature, after sharing the series of snowfall plazas near Delhi sometime back.
In order to at least help you start with your bucket list, I specifically purchased just the top 6 simple treks from a list of DoW Community shared. When you have covered them, you can link to the full list in the DoW Community that is already available.
Take a look at the specifics quickly:
3 Simple Himachal Winter Treks
Let’s look at three winter treks in Himachal Pradesh that are fast. I have given each of these treks its basic characteristics. It helps you determine quickly which criteria to select
1. Bijli Mahadev Trek
He’s Bijli Mahadeva who is on a 2450 meter altitude, the first trek in my series of simple winter walks in Himachal.
From Chansari village near Kullu – Manali begins the tour to Bijli Mahadev. From the hike, you will be able to see the Pir Panjal panorama. In the winter the snow can be seen on the trek and the snowfall will depend on the weather.
It can be easy to play with snow in winter in Himachal. The degree of the trek is simple and can be achieved in one day. You must travel about 6-8 km to Bijli Mahadev depending on the snow cover.
You can reach a height of 2800 meters on the way to Triund. You will view Dhauladhar from the trek, panoramic views, and the view from the air of Dharamshala. In the winter you can see the snow on the hike and, depending on the season, can also feel the snowfall. The entire trip in Triund, depending on the amount of snow, can also not be completed in winter.
In Himachal, snowfall or snow in the winter is also one of the places to play. It’s easy to walk, and in a single day, you can do it. You can walk either full or some distance on the Triund trail, depending on the cover of the snow.
3.Prashar Lake Trek
My first winter trek to Prashar Lake Snow Trek, near the village of Biaggi-Mandi, in the Himachal region, is the third of my series.
The walk to Lake Prashar takes you to 2700 meters above sea level. The view of Dhauladhar and Prashar lake is all majestic. You can see the panoramic view. In the winter you can see the snow on the hike and, depending on the season, can also feel the snowfall.
In the winter near Delhi, you can visit the lake of Prashar to play with the snow. It’s easy to walk, and in a single day, you can do it. Depending on how far you go on the road the entire trek is about 15-18 km away.
3 Simple Uttarakhand Winter Treks.
Let’s look at three simple winter walks in Uttarakhand. I have given each of these treks its basic characteristics. It helps you determine quickly which criteria to select.
1.The Tunganath Trek or Chandrashilla Trek.
Tunganath – Chandrashilla Trek, at 3680 m and 4000 meters respectively, is the first trek in my series about simple winter hikes in Uttarakhand.
From the village of Chopta, near Ukimath, the trek begins to Chandrashilla – Tunganath. You can see the panorama of the Kedar range from the trek to Nanda Devi. In the winter you can see the snow on the hike and, depending on the season, can also feel the snowfall. In the winter season, I strongly advise bringing the guide with you.
It can be a really easy place to play with snow in winter in Uttarakhand near Delhi. You can easily moderate the difficulty level of the hike and do that one day. You walk for about 10-13 km to finish the trek back and forth to Chandrashilla. In addition, because of the presence of snow Chandrashilla cannot be reached at all after Tunganath.
The second hike of my series on simple winter walks in Deoriatal is close to the village of Sari – Ukimath.
You can reach a height of 2450 meters on the trek to Deoriatal. The panoramic views of the Chaukhamba peaks and the Himalayan range are shown. In reality, every day the reflections of the peaks on the lake must die. In winter, on the hike around Deoriatal, the snow will be visible and snowfall can be experienced too, depending on the time.
In the winter, snowfall and snowfall are also among the places in Uttarakhand. It’s easy to walk, and in a single day, you can do it. The entire trek is approximately 3-4 km away
3.Har Ki Dun Trek
Kar Ki Dun, which is near the area of Sankri, is my last winter hike of Uttarakhand.
The walk to Har Ki Dun takes you up to 3500 meters above sea level. The Swargrohini peak and Jaundar glacier are panoramic views of the trek. In the winter you can see the snow on the hike and, depending on the season, can also feel the snowfall. In addition, depending on the amount of snow, it might not be possible to finish the whole Har Ki Dun trek in winter.
The degree of the trek is easy to moderate and can be accomplished within five to six days while you camp. The total distance of the hike is approximately 54 km.
